Compassionate Care Programs

The Lighthouse Counseling Program: 

Not all wounds are noticeable on the outside. That is why our focus is to “Be The Light”  for  others in need.  All of our programs offer mental health counseling with a sliding scale donation with a range between $20-$120 per session.  The funds raised from these services will go directly to help others who are in need of a licensed mental health counselor or a bereavement specialist. We include, self care and mindfulness as a healing tool for sustained healing and giving the individual ways to cope with grief and life transitions. 

The Butterfly Tutoring Program:

While our focus is on “Being The Light” we also focus on the transformation of the journey. When a person experiences a traumatic event and they are registered in an elementary school, middle school, high school or college, they may be eligible for our Butterfly Tutoring Program.  This program provides students with a tutor if they have fallen behind due the grief they are experiencing. This program works hand in hand with our Lighthouse Counseling Program and Includes up to 8 visits with  counselor or a bereavement specialist. The Butterfly Tutoring program aims to assist the student with their academic needs while grieving the loss of a loved one or an experience. 

The Starfish Academy: 

Based on our five core values;  Respect of self and others,  Inspiration,  Transformation, Patience & Trust. The Starfish Academy is our training program for individuals who want to become bereavement specialist in our programs.  They will be trained to walk hand in hand with our clients, and their counselor, as they endure the traumatic loss they are experiencing.  

From Wags to Wellness:

Our puppy program breeds emotional support  dogs to help individuals gain the confidence and strength they need to lead a better life.
